Set in the South-West corner of Cyprus, Anarita is a peaceful traditional village offering stunning coastal views and surrounded by rugged hills. Conveniently Anarita is only 10 minutes drive inland from the airport and the town of Paphos.
The region is home to a World Heritage Site, The Akamas National Park, museums, monasteries and ancient ruins. Along with beautiful beaches, coves and harbours, olive trees, citrus groves, vineyards and banana plantations. All these lead on inland to The Troodos with its cool mountain air and hiking trails, also a very popular winter ski resort. The Port of Limassol just 30 mins drive along the quiet dual carriageway offers a vast selection of shops.
Likewise Paphos has several large supermarkets, a variety of small specialist shops plus an array of open-air taverns and restaurants. Although a natural draw for tourist, Paphos still retains a definite charm.
Needless to say the weather is fantastic, even the winter is mainly warm and pleasant. The Cypriots are a kind and friendly people many of whom speak English and they drive on the left. The cost of living is very reasonable compared to the UK and other EU countries. There are Ex-Pats social clubs and English speaking schools. The area now offers a selection of excellent golf courses and other sports such as horse riding and lawn bowling. A selection of water sports are also readily available.
